An asterisk after the CT frequency indicates that there is pilot controlled lighting (PCL). Without an operating radio to turn on the runway lights, would you still be able to land there? Scenario -------- What should have been a routine flight gets an unexpected twist: Tower clears you to land on a runway you dont feel is safe but wont clear you to land on one that looks much better. Will you go with the clearance, insist on your preference, or make an impromptu change at night and in busy airspace? 16 August 2022 1830 @1H0 Pilot Lounge From members at stlaviationmeetup.org Mon Aug 15 16:22:53 2022 From: members at stlaviationmeetup.org (St. Louis Aviation Meetup Members List) Date: Mon, 15 Aug 2022 16:22:53 +0000 Subject: [Members] 16 August 2022 In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Look forward to it! We gave him a CAD file and it came back perfect. His dad is a member of EAA 32 and says Chris had done a large number of instrument panels for various aircraft. He first cut the holes in an .060 aluminum panel with a CNC water jet and put a stiffening bend. We test fitted it, countersunk the screw holes, then sent it back to be anodized. We went with black but there are different colors of anodizing. h2omachineandfab.weebly.com He said he could etch placard information into the aluminum. We didn't go with that option but it would look a little more professional.
