You^^re arriving at MYF after dark and after the tower closes.  An
asterisk after the CT frequency indicates that there is pilot controlled
lighting (PCL).  Without an operating radio to turn on the runway lights,
would you still be able to land there?

Scenario

What should have been a routine flight gets an unexpected twist: Tower
clears you to land on a runway you dont feel is safe but wont clear you to
land on one that looks much better. Will you go with the clearance, insist
on your preference, or make an impromptu change at night and in busy
airspace?
