"Volunteer and GA Pilots Safety Considerations and Scenario Review"
Topic: Safety Considerations, Scenario Review for Existing and Future Volunteer GA Pilots
On Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 19:00 Eastern Daylight Time (16:00 PDT; 17:00 MDT; 18:00 CDT; 13:00 HST; 15:00 AKDT; 16:00 Arizona; 23:00 GMT)
Select Number: EA61136149
Description:
Be a Better Volunteer Pilot!
Each month we will focus on specific safety considerations and review several actual volunteer flight scenarios adding ' Did Well ' and ' Do Better ' commentary.
Pilot safety operational considerations are numerous requiring diligent regular review especially given the variety of volunteer flight types. The considerations for safely flying a child facing challenging medical outcomes are quite different than flying endangered turtles to rescue facilities.Â
This webinar will help both existing and potential volunteer pilots of all types to identify both basic and advanced safety considerations. The discussion of related actions from pre-flight to post flight will help the charitable aviation community continually strive to leverage cross organizational best safety practices.Â
If not already in the WINGS Pilot Proficiency program please join us. It is proven to make us safer pilots. Please go to FAASafety.gov to enroll and find other safety information.
